Research Goals

Within the AI Paper Maker project we are conducting research on responsible AI solutions in the context of scientific research. The project started in August 2023 and will run for 36 months. Within the scope of the 3 years, we aim to answer research questions on these topics:
Perception and Adoption of AI in the academic research process
Interaction with AI-assistance in literature review and writing tasks
Fostering responsible usage behaviors and appropriate trust using interactive explainable AI

Protecting researchers agency in AI-assisted academic writing

Combining Passion and Expertise in AI

Our interdisciplinary team critically evaluates existing AI solutions, applies them responsibly and investigates open questions about effective human-centred features in AI systems. This renders our project both relevant to research and to the practical implementation of a sophisticated AI concept.

Design-Sciene Research

Given the fundamental nature of R&D projects, our aim is to contribute to research in a meaningful and relevant way, utilising this knowledge to develop and evaluate a framework that can be transferred into a viable solution.
Our vision
Environment and Knowledge overlap with Research & Design.
